People play with PlayRoom, crossing lines
The PS4 have been out in the states for almost two weeks, and Europeans will get the chance to get hold of one this Friday. Already are people abusing the system by doing stupid things via the streaming ability, ultimately breaking the ToS of Twitch and threaten to cause a stir in the mainstream media, ruining it for the rest of us.
We’re talking about guns, alcohol, sex and nudity already. All PS4 systems comes with the game going by the name PlayRoom where you can play with robots and try out the AR technology that the Camera and lighting bar in the controller provides. PlayRoom is free and pre-installed on all released consoles – which ultimately makes it very easy to get hold of. Since the game shows what’s happening in front of the camera, people get experimental.
Some even decided to make a call-in show, others was drinking themselves senseless in front of the camera (yes, while streaming it online), and one guy even stripped the woman – presumably his girlfriend – to nudity while she was blacked out. Stuff like this is loved by the mainstream media, as now they have real proof of the stupidity from gamers around the world. Of course we’re ALL blamed when gamers do stupid stuff like that – and I am including “gaming kills!” references here.
This is ultimately violating Twitch terms of service, as one of the rules is “it has to be gaming related” and they are also closing offending accounts, including the account that showed the nude girl.
While PlayRoom can be fun both to stream and for people to watch, Sony might need to consider blocking certain games from being streamed, at least native on the console – PlayRoom being one of them.
This is why we can’t have nice things, people. Other people being stupid!
