Free Update for Super Smash Brothers

While most developers and publishers will try to sell you more stages and arenas for their game, Nintendo decided to add more content for Super Smash Bros. through a free title update on the Wii U. The update adds 15 new levels for the game’s Smash mode – 9 for Normal mode and 6 for Omega mode – as if you needed another excuse to beat up your friends.

Nintendo revealed that the game had sold 3.39 million units by the end of the 2014, which means that there is a copy of the game in 1 in 3 of the 9.2 million households that had purchased a Wii U by the end of last year. While the figures aren’t as impressive on the 3DS, there are not many titles on any console that can boast that type of pulling power.
