Turn 10 banning people from Forza 4 [Updated]
Apparently Turn 10′s auto banning system is out of control. Looking at the Xbox forums, it’s an extensive problem that occurs somewhat random.
Users are blaming the new disc format from Microsoft, others blame glitching, and what’s worse, some pirates says they avoided the ban.
At this point we have no idea of the outcome, how legit these bans are, and how many got banned. From the extension of the forum posts around the internet, it seems like a high number of players have been hit hard. I’m aware some of these posts are on modders forums, I was just using them as example of what people are talking about.
A friend of mine who’s also a game reviewer, but this time around bought his own game, got it a day early. He bought it in a Game Station store in Kuwait where he lives, and he was so excited that he booted up the game when he came home, unlocking a few achievements with timestamps. In his case, I suspect that Turn 10 detected these achievements and thus came to the conclusion that he was not just an early adapter, but a pirate with a modded console. They took the decision to ban him where they could, hoping for Microsoft to follow through with a console ban, backing them up. I’ve seen my friends official, legit retail copy in pictures, and with him playing that much online, I don’t think he would risk getting banned from Xbox Live.
We are awaiting response from Microsoft and Turn 10 on the matter. Below you’ll see the message that Forza 4 players gets from Turn 10.
Microsoft has gotten back to me today, telling me the following;
This aren’t saying much, pretty standard, but at least they are looking into the issue. Let’s hope the problem gets solved soon.

Great post Lea, I’m very sad about this and I hope they fix this anytime soon before the game gets old.
And it’s weird when a great Team like Turn10 messed up things between legit people and other modders!

all i used was the auction house. i put a car up for a substantial amount of money. sold it…then i got a message saying i did a money glytch and or modded my xbox… i did neither.. so my console and GT got banned for life.. also i tried emailing them and asking what happend on the forums. they silenced me on the forums for asking 3 times with no response. i sent them an email waited 2 weeks with no reply. sent them an email everyday for the next 3 weeks after that with no reply. they didnt even investigate.. they just got lazy and said *u*k it.. i have bought everyone of there games and DLC and the new season pass. waited in line and gave them much PR. yet i got screwed over. I WILL NEVER buy one of there games no matter what it is.. nor how good it is. for all i care.. they can rot in hell. i even tried there Facebook.. same shit different toilet. T10 = SCAM

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure their inbox flooded over with requests regarding bans. When did you last e-mailed them and which address? I just might eb able to help a little – I can at least try.

Similar thing for me. i got 1 wk ban for chick vinyl, once that was over, the same day i stocked store again with vinyls putting a chick vinyl up that was on there the first time but did not get put under review lwading me to belive it was ok to use. so they banned me for a month. the day that ran out i thought to myself “sod it” not putting any vinyls up to do with women, so i stuck to cartoons, sonic, homer simpson etc, really harmless and all been on store plenty before hand, an hour later i got message saying i been banned for 20 years. this is utter BS, they flagged 14 vinyls in my sf out of ones i managed to get on. they have gave no reason for it, and i have sent them 11 emails so far, 20+ messages on fb page. they block message on forum etc also. this really is disgusting to treat fans this way, i bought the collectors edition and been banned from the week after it release. i have also sold cars for allot of money, to people wanting vinyls unlocked, is this illegal or rule breaking? if so then 98% of people need banning. i have been victim of hackers plenty before for not unlocking my vinyls that took days to paint. they never got banned. i stopped putting paints up i had made as people can unlock them somehow. anyhow now through my ban i cant maintain my race team which has dropped from world rank 4 to 100+, i cant inv members, i cant kick, i can’t see team hell i can’t even leave it. i spent 100+ hours painting and designing cars only to have them trapped in a dead end game save. this is not on and i am taking it further. even if i have to go see a breif and have a court order sent to t10 demanding an explaination i will. may not work but by god ill get some pay back for this.

I don”t think it’ll help that I write to them.
How and when did you contact them last time? And what did you tell them?
You shouldn’t be able to sell a car for a high price, unless you had a unicorn car(or had agreed on the sale with a friend), which aren’t sellable/tradeable for other than Turn 10 themselves.

About a month ago and the car I sold was a car I won from racing in career. I saw other cars selling in the auction house (aka unicorn cars) so I thought..huh …I can’t believe people are buying these cars for so much… I instantly had dollar signs in my eyes thinking I bet I could sell a car for allot then. So I did and got banned. I told the same story that was in my first comment but was nice about it. It’s sad how something they were doing with unicorn cars inspired the idea to sell a car for allot of Credits. I didn’t even know what a unicorn car is. I even restarted my entire game after I got the message to see if it made a difference. The fact remains.. I got banned from there servers for a feature they implemented in the game without it being investigated. Contact with them is impossible. It’s very very frustrating seeing it is my favorite game other than halo..
