The comeback of Jun Kazama

When I first read that Jun Kazama would make a comeback in the upcoming Tekken game, Tag Tournement 2, I wasn’t sure it was legit. I did a bit of digging and found out that this was in fact, true!

The Chief Producer, Katsuhiro Harada, has been twittering quite a bit the past few days, and even released a few shots of Jun and other characters from the rendering tests. The picture used in this article is one of them, though I must admit, I couldn’t resist from photoshopping it a bit. The original is here.

The reason that I make a deal about this is that since Jun disappeared/died after Tekken 3, I’ve missed her. She was by far my favourite character. I loved her smooth movements with the great variety, not to mention the story about her and who she was connected with.

The following paragraf contains a huge spoiler from Tekken 6, so if you haven’t played it yet, don’t mark the text below. On the other hand, if you are curious on to what I want to say, mark the text with your mouse.

But will her son be back as well? As many of us already know, Jin was killed by the Tekken 6 main Character, Lars. I’d love to see his comeback as well, alongside his mom. Maybe with some sort of quirky sidestory when they find each other and some sort of unity.

I know that Kazuya is a lost case, and I find Jun as the pure spirit in this series, so getting back together with him is a no go. Maybe some secret loving between them could be fun to watch but maybe too sexual for a fighting game.. oh wait the fighting part is already upping the rating on the game…

I look very much forward to move Jun onscreen again. I expect much from Tekken Tag Tournement 2!

I do not have any preferences in games, and I do not oppose to what others are playing. But it baffles me every damn time someone says; "I do not like playing video games" . People be crazy sometimes I guess...
