I had quite some fun time playing games on Ludobox this past month. The list of flash games is endless, and they keep coming in. New subcategories are made, making it even easier for you gaming addicted people out there to find the game that suits your taste and opinion of a fun time with small games.

For this intro article, my three chosen games to review is;

<h8>Neon Rider</h8>
Colorful and a bit challenging. You have to navigate a futuristic looking bike through these levels that seems to be made of neon light or lasers. Loops, hoops and jumps. The game is rather slow paced, so everyone should be able to play it. The blue color is your safe color in the levels. This color is supporting the bike, no matter what color you are. The rest of the colors, you have to change the bike to that color to let that part of the track support the bike, so you don’t fall into eternity. In other situations, you have to change the bike away from that color, so you can keep on going towards the finish line.
Time from start to end: about 30 minutes
<h9>Score; 8 out of 10</h9>

<h8>Fruiti Blox</h8>
I’m not a fan of puzzle games, and once again it reflects the score I’m giving the game. I don’t find this kinda games amusing for too long, and most of the times, I’m not even playing them. I really have to be bored to play them actually. You have to mark 4 blox in the same color, so it makes an even square. That makes the blox, fruit and gold inside the square collapse, giving you the points. There is a few modes, but frankly, there’s isn’t much difference.
Time from start to end: N/A
<h9>Score: 5 out of 10</h9>

<h8>Tennis</h8>
I was thinking of Tennis Ace that was released for the Sega Master System in the 80s around the same second as I made the first serve in this game. I must admit though, Tennic Ace had way more to it, but the overall graphics is better in this flash game (not pixelated). I missed a load of balls, mostly because my character didn’t move fast enough, I was swinging the racket too soon, and it was generally hard to manipulate the ball without being predictable – making it easy for the computer to hit the ball back to you.
Time from start to end: N/A
<h9>Score: 8 out of 10</h9>

A while ago, I read an article about girls in the gaming world, how they are being treated and how they behave. Sure, she made good points, and I agreed with many things she wrote – I’ll give her that. However, parts of the article made me think that the author of it must hate being a female human being. She absolutely moaned big time about girls in the gaming world. She generalized to such a degree that it was hurtful to read.

Guys treating girls differently, letting them win, trying to talk to them, or becoming friends with them just doesn’t have a place in gaming. Seriously, guys hitting on girls via Xbox Live (Or Playstation Network for that matter), haven’t you heard about freaking dating sites? Just write that you want a girl who likes video games in your dating profile. Girls are much more open to talk to new people on dating sites rather than while they game.

On the other hand, there are users who deliberately downtalk and verbally attack girls when it comes to their attention there’s a girl in the lobby or game. Well, the author of this article “excused” this behavior as being competitive and hyping about the game. I can understand this for popular shooter games, as they are getting very competitive and people try to provoke people or bring down their self esteem this way.
However, girls aren’t the only ones who are being attacked verbally in the online gaming experience – or just online in general. There is racism out there, and people are mocking each other for their accent or anything that is against their own values (you can alter this obviously, but you get where this edit is going). The online gaming experience might be worse though, because there is the competitive nature on top of the mountain.
I still do think there’s way too much trashtalk on Xbox LIVE when I join games with randoms. There’s really many immature players, being it for their personality, their background, or the most simple: young age. Many parents – and many stores(maybe I should say sales representatives here) for that matter – doesn’t think twice about the recommended age rating on games (in Europe called PEGI rating and in US called ESRB) and since these immature people are the ones that are vociferous, people tend to remember them.

The article also did moan a lot about girls expecting to be treated differently. Surely, I agree on this in all aspects of what this article described. However, I believe that she did moan too much. Yeah, sure, there’s girls out there who just plain suck at games. So what? There’s guys out there who are just as bad. They might not have played the game that much, so they aren’t used to it and therefore make mistakes or are slow. The problem here is – just like regular driving in the real world – is that people tend to blame the bad performance on the gender, when it’s only a few people giving the rest of us a bad reputation. In my eyes, this is very wrong.

Girls asking to be treated differently was also mentioned, asking to be allowed to progress in the game, but I believe this is more of asking for help in the game rather than making use of the guys excitement that he has contact to a girl.
Girls talking about “girly” stuff like shampoo, make up, and clothes, is just like guys talking about sailboating, tools or cars. Quit jabbering already, there will always be gender-populated interests, which include gaming. There’s a reason why girls are a minority in the gaming world – counting out the games on Facebook that our mothers play!

The part of the article which I disagreed with the most was her trashing “girly” websites and girls, who bring attention to their gender by adding themselves to gaming communities for girls. However, most are joining these communities to find other gamers with their gender, who want to share thoughts and experiences, just as we would in the real world with co-workers or schoolmates. Why would I hide my gender?
It’s not like it’s the first thing I yell about in a gaming lobby or for that matter, on a forum. I actually tend to mute myself and turn down the volume to avoid hearing the other players when I play with randoms.
But if people refer to me as male, is there ANY reason not to tell them and make them aware that they should refer to me as female? This still happens, in spite of having a female avatar and most of my colors being red, pink, rose and purple, which are girly colors.
Counting out the WoW reference in my gamertag, it’s pretty girly too! (and no, I’m not playing WoW, just in case people should ask).

People told me I was one of these girls who wanted attention or special treatment because of my gender. I can’t see why I should want this. Apart from boosting, it’s not fun to win a game because the other participants let you win. I mentioned my gender in my profile description on some website, and people almost called me an attention whore for this, more or less based on the article that made me write this article.

I would say if anyone wanted to be an attention whore, it must be the author of the article that made me write this one. She moaned about girls wanting the attention, while she herself writes the article, and doesn’t exactly hide her gender either. She uses a girl avatar, has a girly gamertag and games. That’s exactly what I do, only I don’t hate myself! I’m convinced she wants to be a guy, as she really did come across as hating being lumped in with the rest of us.

The Battle of Forli is the first of the DLC packs for Assassin’s Creed 2. Be aware that it contains only six memories so it is quite brief, but it was still quite decent for content that costs just 320 Microsoft points. The memories fill in sequence 12, which was omitted from the main game due to ‘timing issues’.

In the Battle of Forli, Ezio must help Caterina Sforza and Machiavelli protect the Piece of Eden from the Orsi brothers. After acquiring it in the previous sequence and discovering it’s power, Ezio brings the Piece of Eden to Forli to seal it within a citadel to make sure it stays out of Templar hands. Of course, events rarely go to plan with the Orsi brothers having ideas of their own on how to steal the ancient object away from the Assassins. The content is quite combat heavy, as opposed to following targets or solving puzzles, so be prepared to add quite a number of enemies to your kill count.

The flying machine also makes a reappearance, which can now be used at any time. It’s not related to the story at all and is more like a mini-game, but it’s nice that it’s there since I always thought it was a fun addition to sequence 8 and should have had more game time.

It’s still as awesome as ever, but the end of the story feels very much like a tease without sequence 13. It is very much like a two-parter of a single episode and it makes you want to play it more. I honestly believe both sequences should have been released together to make them feel meaningful so if you’re on the fence about the DLC for the game, wait until the end of February for the release of the Bonfire of the Vanities and get them both. Although the one cool thing about sequence 12 is that you finally find out how Ezio gets his beard

Recently I was contacted by Ludobox and they asked me if I wanted to do a few articles about their website and flash games. The website is simple and easy to navigate. You can even play the games without having to sign up – but you won’t be able to post highscores in the games that supports this feature.

If you sign up, not only will you be able to compete against other Ludobox members, you will be able to comment on the games, review them if you will. There’s plenty of games to choose from – the numbers are reaching close to whopping 2500 free flash games and counting.

Besides the free flash games, there’s also downloadable ones, but you have purchase them from bigfishgames, it seems ludobox only represents these games as part of a “sistership”, but frankly I don’t have the facts, so this is just a theory.

The site contains a forum too, so there’s plenty of reasons to talk to other ludobox members about the games, or the everyday life, you’re going through. The forum is also the place to keep yourself up to date for what’s happening on the website, as the admins are making announcements there. The forum supports English and French.

For this intro article, my three chosen games to review is;

<h8>Big Truck Adventures 2</h8>
In this game you are a truck driver, and you have to deliver goods. I’m a fan of 2D games, so this fell right into my taste. You’re driving from one house to another. The challenge in this game is to keep your deliveries save. For me, the hardest ones was water and glass. The glass really put my patience to a test, as I’m a gamer, that likes fast pace and speed, and I require a feeling that I’m getting forward in the game to keep me interested. I was able to do a somersault with three trees in the back of the truck – though, I lost one of them, but I still did make it to the customer – you can lose goods, but if you lose all of it, you lose a life and have to start from the last customer. The last delivery, the basket balls, was the funniest for me, as they bounced around – at one point, 4 or 5 of the balls was flying right out of the truck, but I was able to catch them again, and only lost 2 balls at the end.
Time from start to end: about 20 minutes
<h9>Score; 9 out of 10</h9>

<h8>Stickicide 3</h8>
This game is really living up to it’s name. It’s full of blood and gore, but not quite, as you’re just playing as a stick man. Graphics isn’t this games force, but yet it’s still quite fun. Your goal is to score as much points by doing suicides with props presented in the level. You have a time limit, and the more you score, the better. I did the mistake of thinking that I had to get from point A to point B, but when the game ended with it’s time limit, I realised my mistake. There’s props like lasers, rockets, and big buzz saws, all for you to play with. It gets a little repetitive as you just have to jump into the stuff and kill yourself, but a quick playthrough once is mandatory if you like a bit of cartoonish gore.
Time from start to end: Time limit is 5 minutes

<h8>Mass Attack</h8>
This is a very very simple game. You’re presented with two scales that basicly uses leverage to compare the weight in each. With a mouse click-and-hold you make new weight appear. Your job is to even out the weight – you can of course add weight to each scale, in case you get too eager on one of the scales – but you have limited numbers of weight to add to the scales. Puzzle games never fancied me, so I might be a bit harsh on the score for no reason, but basicly, I didn’t find this game fun – at all. I lost interest in about 2-3 minutes.

24 jan 2010 – Xzibitionist description totally re-written

The most efficient way to gain the multiplayer achievements in this game is a blended mix – first of all, it requires a lot of preperation and patience from everyone.

<h8>Number of players</h8>
You can be 4 or 6 players to do this, an even number, because you’ll be boosting in teams. It will take some time to get all achievements for all players, depending if one or more players in the boosting have been playing online already.

<h8>Preperation.</h8>
Find 3 other friends, make sure everybody really are in for the boosting, and do what people are agreeing to – perhaps the one that take the intiative should decide and be the headschef while boosting.
Everybody is friend requesting eachother on Live. If you played together before, prefere everyone as well, that is influating the matchmaking quite a lot.

<h8>Play in teams, avoid outsiders</h8>
Now, you gotta team up, so it’s 2 versus 2 players. One player from each team is creating a gang, and invite the other player to join the gang. When starting up, each gang meet up in the gang lobby. It doesn’t matter which member join the lobby and invite the other gangmember. Then the host of the lobby choose the gamemode(decided with the other gang through the party on Live). Coordinate at all times during matchmaking to make sure you’re playing against/with eachother.

<h8>Getting ranked. (Thug, Killa, Gangsta and Kingpin)</h8>
I highly recommend that working towards the ranked attached achievements before anything else, as death and losses are counting in the ranking points, and therefore can make it harder to reach the ranks.
I definetely experienced that the “Team Big Ass Chains” was the most effective one, maybe because my deaths and losses aren’t too much in that mode, but who knows.
Team out and plan who’s going for the achievements first. One player is getting kills, chains and points in multikills and streaks. Keep going untill Kingpin has popped, the other players on the winning team is just standing there, doing nothing.
Take turns getting ranked.

<h8>Dominator</h8>
This is probably gonna pop during the boosting for the Kingpin achievement. You shouldn’t worry too much of this.
You gotta win 10 ranked matches in a row for this one. It doesn’t matter which mode this is done in. Start the game, wait ten seconds (the system register you as been playing the game after ten seconds) then the loosing team is quitting the game, making the other team win the game. Do that ten times in a row, then one team (two players at a time) get this achievements – proceed with the same procedure to let the other team get the achievement.

<h8>Clocktower Camper</h8>
100 headshots with the sniperriffle. This should be easy to understand for everyone. I would recommend Blinged out ride as the mode to do this, because your team member can work on the Xzibitionist achievement in the meantime.
- For winning team;
One member finds the sniperrifle, then go for the loosing teams’ base. And then keep shooting the loosing players in aiming mode, aiming for the heads (of course). Remember to pick up the money dropped. Coordinate with your team member, don’t pick up money, if the bar is filled and the car ready for upgrade.

The loosing team almost does nothing – they may help running in front of the sniper shooter, so that player doesn’t have to go out of aiming mode. And perhaps helping out by grabbing their team car (or one of the cars that spawns near the base) and drive to the sniperrifle, pick it up and go back to the base, to getting shot by the opposing team member(remember to choose the sniperrifle, so you have it in your hands, or you won’t drop it when dying).

<h8>Xzibitionist</h8>
Get your team car to level 4 50 times, play Blinged out ride.
One winning team, one loosing team. One player on the team gets the upgrades. The winning team members are gonna drive or walk to the loosing teams base, and starts to kill them, to make them drop 100$ notes to gather for the winning team to upgrade the car. The loosing team are also driving out their team car out from the garage, make some damage on it – DON’T blow it up – and let the winning team blow up the car, to pick up a 200$ note that’s dropped from it. Repeat. The loosing team tries to avoid picking up notes and the winning team doesn’t pink up notes when there’s money enough for a car upgrade (the number of money gathered is turning green).

The player that gets the upgrades drives around in the team car, picks up the chain (if it seems to be time enough before the team has gathered enough money) and drive towards the chop shop when there’s nearly enough money, so the car can be upgraded the second there’s money enough. When reaching level 4, the driver goes to the base where the killings is going on, leaves the car there, take another car and goes to his homebase – if the other players are quick to blow it up, then the lvl 3 car is ready to be picked up at the winning teams homebase. Repeat until the timer runs out, decide if you want to deliver the car at the podium if the timer is below one minute.

If done right and quickly and without too much inteference from random players, the boosted player can get more than 10 upgrades from level 3 to level 4.

<h8>Chain Gang</h8>
Drop of 500 chains – Play Team Big Ass chains.
All players meet at the drop off point, shooting eachoter. The winning player should be avoided getting shot at. The winning player takes the chains, when having 10, drops them off, and just keeping do that until the winning player gets the achievement – and this is repeated for the other players. The chains gained in regularly Big Ass Chains, will count in as well. Fairly easy to get, and mostly, you will get this while working on the other achievements. It’s unknown if chains gained in Blinged Out Ride counts in as well.

<h8>Pimp Killer</h8>
Kill the pimp in “protect tha pimp” mode 50 times. Taking turns, or just play competetive, when having the achivement, let other players kill the pimp.
I’ve experienced that is much easier to avoid “outsiders” when playing 8 people together (gangs, 4v4), and with 8 players in the matchmaking, the game starts way faster than with 3v3(6 players in the matchmaking) because the system doesn’t look for more players.

<h8>Happy hunting!</h8>

I have taken an all-day coding/working the website day. The result ended up in a few small changes and some addings to the site to improve the experiencing of the visit, and hopefully make more people to come back more regularly too!

- improved the look of the front page
- changed the related post links so it now shows thumbnails too
- screenshots/related pictures (for future articles)
- and last, but not least, subscribing to comments on posts

<h9>Front page</h9>
The front page hasn’t exactly been the harmony of design in quite some time, but I think I really made an improvement there. It’s now more like the articles, and seems generally more finished.

<h9>Related posts</h9>
I’ve changed the plugin to show related posts. Before it was just some dull links, now it shows thumbnail, title and the first couple lines from the article, making it more tempting to check out related articles. This cuts it down from 10 related posts to 4, but I don’t think it matters.

<h9>Screenshots</h9>
I’ve decided to add screenshots gallery to the articles, this will mainly be used for reviews, but if there’s some related pictures for the article, I would certainly make use of it. This wont be implemented in old articles though, but will be added for future articles.

<h9>Subscribing to comments</h9>
Now to the most fun addition (I think). When you’re commenting, you can now subscribe yourself to the comments! You can even manage on which posts you wish to get updates about comments on. This will encourage in more dialogues in commenting, making this site more active. When I think there’s activity enough, I will consider making a forum.

Now, one last thing to tell you about before I’m finishing this newspost up…
<h9>Gravatars!</h9>
You might have noticed the avatars in comments. I’m using Spirit of Cimarron (I love his expression on that picture), and for the standard, there’s a selection of some funny geometric faces. To make your own gravatar, click on one of the gravatars (globally recognized avatars) or this link. Then sign up with the e-mail account you want, preferrably your primary one (the site can be trusted, no spam or repeating messages at all). When you have finished the subscription on the site, and made your gravatar, you can make use if it right away. All you have to do is write the e-mail you use for the gravatar, in the proper field when you post your comment, and your gravatar will automaticly show at your comment. Try it out!

<h8>What to know</h8>
Pretty much, take a watered down version of Left 4 Dead and mash it together with an aerial view version of Need For Speed and you have Zombie Driver. The entire purpose of Zombie Driver is to drive around, pick up survivors and deliver them to the safe house. You’ll face a variety of zombies, like regular zombies, dog zombies and Fat Zombies (which have a striking resemblance to Boomers from L4D). You’ll also have the chance to drive around and pick-up extra cash to use to upgrade your cars between stages.

<h8>Gameplay</h8>
This game reminds me of a B-list horror movie in both the best and worst ways. In the good way, the game is fun and somewhat different than other games at the moment. The somewhat cheesy plot comes across as comical trying to be serious, which is something I always enjoy. I generally have a hard time not enjoying a game that involves demolishing zombies, and this game initially reached my standards of zombie destruction.

That being said, there is not enough variety in the game. The main difference in the levels is that they are going to get more difficult, often to a frustrating degree. Occasionally, a new type of zombie is thrown in, and that gets annoying because they always seem much harder than they should. The addition of new zombies also does not break up the repetitiveness of the game, leading it to drag on at some points.

<h8>Playing with friends</h8>
No multiplayer here, so you’re either going solo or trading off with your buddies in this case.

<h8>Amusements</h8>
Take the time out to actually read what people are saying as well as the mission briefings. These can get pretty entertaining sometimes and bring a little more to the table. Besides that, there isn’t really much more fun thrown into the game (besides all the zombie mashing, that is).

<h8>For eyes and ears</h8>
Graphically, this game is “meh” at best. The highlight of the graphics is pretty much the cut scenes – non-animated montages of pictures and text plastered all over each other. Granted, improved graphics may have slowed down the game even more than what I ran into, but I personally think it would have been worth the risk. Driving around running over the same zombies repeatedly needs to be beefed up if it wants to be truly awesome.

At first, I thought the audio was pretty good, until I started getting annoyed by the music and the sound effects. The quality of the music/effects is overall up to par, but the rhythm of the music and the same sounds happening anytime ANYTHING happens really starts to get a little irritating.

<h8>Gamer goals</h8>
The game doesn’t really provide anything comparable to achievements or trophies. All you really have in front of you is a primary objective and a secondary objective. Completing the secondary objective provides you with additional money to spend on your car between stages. Personally, I set out to get all the upgrades for my cars to set an extra bar for myself throughout the game.

<h8>Glitches and mistakes</h8>
There were two main issues I ran into with the game. The first was that it seemed that every once in a while, the game would essentially bog itself down and crash. I knew this was going to happen about ten seconds ahead of time because the game would trip itself up with lag and jumpy graphics/gameplay. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t resolve this issue.

The second problem I ran into was in the actual map layout of the game. The designers apparently did not want this game to go off without frustration (or at least that’s how it appeared to me). For instance, in one part of the game there is essentially a forest covering a portion of the map. What this led to was me not being able to see where I was driving my car (which turned out to me ramming into a fence several times in a row) and losing a lot of time before I realized there was no way I was making it through to the other side.

<h8>Hearts</h8>
Unfortunately, this game only gets two hearts for me. While it is generally fun, there’s only so much zombie ramming to be had before the concept gets old. Lately, zombie games have been popping up, which leads them to be held to higher standards. Zombie Driver didn’t quite make it to those standards. The design of the game had a lot of potential, but its glitched gameplay and layout get really frustrating. In addition to that, the game starts to get somewhat repetitive.

<h8>What to know</h8>
If you’ve played the first Assassin’s Creed game, forget what you know about it. The repetitiveness is gone and has been replaced with an in-depth story with varying fun missions. The assassinations have also been improved upon with players finding they’ll have to be even more sneaky to find a way in.

<h8>Short description</h8>
Assassin’s Creed 2 is based upon revenge. It is what causes Ezio to become an assassin. His family was betrayed, a tragedy occured because of it and Ezio is set to seek revenge on all that were a part of it. The game takes place from 1476 – 1499 so as players work through the story, they’ll find it’s a long list of names.

<h8>Gameplay</h8>
As a player of Assassin’s Creed, I found I fell right back in with the controls in no time at all. However, there’s no need to worry about having not played the original as the game presents you with a tutorial as part of the storyline in the very beginning. Ezio is very nice to control with all of his movements feeling quite fluid and natural. The combat system has been improved upon since the original with disarms now part of Ezio’s fighting repertoire. I find this to be the most lethal out of all of the combat moves as you can steal the guard’s weapon and use it on them. This is extremely useful when dealing with more stronger enemies like Brutes.

Ezio has more gadgets to use such as smoke bombs and a poisoned blade, which are useful for causing distractions and speaking of which, the various factions – thieves, courtesans and mercenaries – are also quite useful for this purpose and Ezio can also enlist help from them at any time – for a certain price of course. There are more stealth assassinations to play with since Ezio can now assassinate enemies from the environment. As a result, hay stacks and ledges are no longer safe for guards to stand next to!

There is a new notoriety system in the game whereby doing things considered an offense to the law will add to the meter. When completely filled, Ezio will be wanted by the guards and if they see him, they will give chase. Fortunately doing certain actions like removing posters, bribing heralds and killing witnesses will drop your notorious level and Ezio can go back to being anonymous. This is certainly more favourable than in the original game where galloping past guards on a horse was enough to make them attack. When running from chasing guards, once they lose sight of Ezio, a radius will appear on the map showing where the guards are most likely going search so don’t waste time trying to hide in hay or sit on a bench. The guards are more intelligent this time round.

<h8>Playing with friends</h8>
There’s no multiplayer in Assassin’s Creed 2, but the game doesn’t need it. In my opinion they would have damaged the game by putting it in just for the sake of it.

<h8>Amusements</h8>
The entire game was pure fun for me. Ezio’s character adds to the game’s fun level as he’s naturally charismatic as opposed to Altair’s moody and arrogant persona. I definitely enjoyed the addition of a second hidden blade. I found several times I would just walk up to a pair of guards, kill them and walk away quite casually. Diving into the Venice waters as an escape method was also highly enjoyable. I’ve even discovered a bit of a Grand Theft Auto moment in the game where you can hijack a gondola. You don’t even have to go to the bother of removing the operator as just jumping onto the gondola will be enough to knock off the user so you can claim it as yours.

I also definitely enjoyed having the factions since sometimes in the original it was a bit annoying when constantly having to get into a fight with guards to get to a certain area. I know the scholars were there but they walked too slow and were only designed to go to certain areas. The factions walk at Ezio’s speed and go anywhere with him. So now it’s just a case of hiring a faction, distracting the guards and sneaking right past them. It just makes the game more about being an assassin, which is always fun.

<h8>For eyes and ears</h8>
Graphics: The scenes are incredible and Ubisoft really did a fabulous job at recreating Renaissance Italy. With the day and night element introduced in Assassin’s Creed 2, it really adds to the breathtaking environments. The main characters themselves are designed well, but the standard NPCs are still left looking a bit plain.

Music: The score is just simply amazing. Composed by Jesper Kyd, the music seriously adds to the atmosphere of the game by playing the right songs at the right moment. By walking around Venice, one can hear a tranquil, choir-like angelic theme whereas getting caught up in a fight sequence will treat players to an upbeat, chilling tempo. Last time I checked, all 35 tracks were uploaded onto YouTube so happy hunting!

<h8>Gamer goals</h8>
Ubisoft introduced their Uplay service for Assassin’s Creed 2 that allows the player to earn credits through playing the game and then spend them on items. One item I believe is up for grabs is the Altair outfit. One doesn’t necessarily have to spend the credits on a certain game; they can be kept for another game.

The achievements/trophies are all fairly standard and it’s quite easy to get the full lot of them as I got the 1000 achievement score in 10 days – and I was taking my time. The achievements/trophies include story related ones, performing certain actions, doing some side missions, upgrading and finding collectibles. There is one missable achievement/trophy called Fly Swatter which is to kick a guard while using the flying machine. This can only be done during a certain mission and there’s no opportunity to do it again except by doing a second playthrough. So crash the flying machine before the end of the sequence to restart if missed.

Collectibles I know are the big taboo thing about Assassin’s Creed after the flags and templars but they really have improved on them and made them useful.

In terms of collectibles they have:
- Subject 16’s videos. There are 20 puzzles to do in which the player is rewarded with a small video clip that obviously shows something important. No spoilers.
- 30 Codexes. They’re a small scroll that get added onto a wall in the villa which when using eagle vision, something else is revealed. This is essential to do to unlock the final mission. The codexes are found in buildings in the cities with four guards at the door. I often just used one of the factions to distract the guards and walked in and took it. I found I just did these as I was running through the area and they’re all marked on the map. Some are also gotten through missions.
- 6 Assassin Tombs. These are physical puzzles in which the player has to figure out how to progress from one room to another. There can be guards along the way. Collecting these rewards the player with Altair’s armour which will also colour Ezio’s clothes black.
- 100 Feathers. These would be the standard collectible. They’re not that bad and again they’re not necessary to do, but the player gets the Auditore cape as a reward. This puts Ezio on permanent notoriety so a fun thing to do if looking for a challenge. The DNA area in the pause menu will inform players about what areas are complete and how many feathers have been collected. They are quite easy to spot when in eagle vision.
- 66 Viewpoints. Not essential to do but it’s handy so the player can see the map.

<h8>Glitches and mistakes</h8>
I found several times the game would freeze on me. I think I pinpointed it down to the use of the fast transport system when travelling to Tuscany or Romagna. I had no problem going to Florence, Venice or Monteriggioni, which are really the main areas of the game. I also found maybe one or two instances where guards would be stuck in a rooftop.

<h8>Hearts</h8>
Definitely five hearts for me. I loved Assassin’s Creed despite its flaws but to have a game that completely excels its predecessor is just something amazing. Ubisoft really did listen to the fans and they went back to the drawing board, kept what was good (the handling of the game), got rid of the bad (repetition/flags/templars), added in some extra stuff and came up with a masterpiece.
