But… a few things in this closing comment do annoy me. The first thing is the word ‘feminism’, I know it’s probably just me, but in the last couple of years, this word really started to annoy me, because more than half of the times that I (personal experience) have encountered it, it wasn’t aimed at gender equality, but female supremacy. Silly, I know, but it annoys me nonetheless. The second thing annoying me is the use of ‘nerd man cave’ in a generalizing fashion in the same sentence with the word ‘decency’. I get it that it’s well worth to point out a decreasing generalization, but to use another one at the same time leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not all being pro-male, but the closing comment just rubs me the wrong way. I do get the seriousness of the problem. I have left countless XBL Parties because of irritating or harassing guys, even without women being in the parties. So I get that women can encounter difficulties in the deepest corners of the gaming crowd, but many gamers can encounter the same difficulties when crawling out of those corners. nerdyfeminist234234 should know better than to use those terms so lightly.
