Gaming Daily: Issue 13

Hello all!

Two days out – that’s a first! Not much has happened – I’ve progressed a bit in Assassin’s Creed Unity and a bunch of school work. Just in time the Christmas break arrives, and a break is really what I need – I’ve hit a wall when it comes to games and reviews, but that is mostly due to being forced to play games in the queue for reviews instead of games I’d like to play. You saw the list in the last blog post.

I really want to play other games; Sunset Overdrive with it’s challenges is what is on the top, but I’ll live without a bunch of challenges obtained. It is just a constant reminder that something I can play for is for a limited time. I really enjoyed the game fully when I was playing it, can’t wait to get back in – there’s only one other game I want to play more at the moment, which is Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and that is not out here yet until after new years. GTA V with the christmas update also calls for me to play it, but I still need to get to level 100 in GTA V before starting playing the new generation version.

Minecraft made by Telltale, of course their way, was announced. It has stirred up the gaming community quite a bit, lots of gamers, especially those who play the original religiously, think it’s blasphemy. If you ask me, they could just not buy it. In this instance it is Microsoft taking a gamble, trying to expand on the Minecraft franchise in attempt to get some of their investment back (MS paid 2.5 billion USD for the franchise). Myself you ask? I like the sentiment – while I don’t play the original game, I’d like to see what Telltale can come up with for the Minecraft world. Will they go serious trying to survive and rescue friends like in The Walking Dead games or will they go wacky and weird like the Machinema Minecraft cartoons?

All presents are wrapped and ready to go, was able to wash some t-shirts and I had a great evening at the computerclub we’re going to. Candles, Christmas music and people in good mood really does something to you. I was also able to lure Z down to the club (I promised him aebleskiver) and we got to brainstorm a bit on what we do with the crew get together and dinner. There’s no way we are letting 10 people discuss where to eat, that’ll never do well. We ended up that I need to find three options and then people vote.

Now soon off to this years first Christmas eve for me. Fantastic company, lovely (fatty) food, and last but not least, presents. Still do not know of it will end up just as an exchange to unwrap on real Christmas eve (24th) or if we’re actually gonna end up unwrap them as we go tonight.
