Daily Gaming: Issue 11

I was able to play a bit of Assassin’s Creed Unity last night – I am less stressed at the moment regarding reviews – but I still want to enjoy Christmas without the bad consciousness, so I will aim to finish as many reviews as I can.

I’ll be covering GTA V on the new generation by researching what’s new and what’s planned for the game. I still don’t know if I should include the rumored content that will arrive over Christmas which include changed weather (that was quickly removed last year because of bad quality) some items, but more so, the heists update. The update all the players has been waiting for since the game launched on the old generation consoles a year ago.

My plan right now is to make that coverage, play a bunch of AC Unity and get that review over and done with (I should never have taken in the two AC games, but eh, whatta you gonna do when the editor says there’s no one else to cover them) and then I can finally move on to Little Big Planet 3. I still have Call of Duty Advanced Warfare to cover as well, but I’ll figure something out. And I am even forgetting Assassin’s Creed Rogue in all of this. I’ll make it to the finish line eventually.

But worse things are going on than that. Due to a bunch of things, I just lost a writer, shit happens. I don’t hold grudge, but as I told her, I would have preferred she’d took a decision and let me know as fast as she could instead of me asking for the review of Shadow Warrior, ultimately telling her I put her as inactive and that she could write me whenever she found her energy and motivation again. I had no idea what was going on, but now I do, and I don’t blame her.

The bit I’ve played of Unity so far has been good. Lot’s of good characters – however, since the story is going on in France and the characters does speak a bit of french (much like italian in Assassin’s Creed II) their english voices are… way too english! Very british accent. The towns are more varied, characters deeper and more animations when crawling around the rooftops. However, the new design doesn’t entice running across town on top of the roofs as it did in the two first games (I’ve yet to play the rest!).

I also need to wrap the presents as we need most of them this weekend. And my nails. I am undecided between two designs – candy cane stripes or red powder tip with gold strip. I need a fine little brush for the last one to get rid of the excess powder, so I’ll probably go with the more sure choice, the candy cane.

Christmas is getting closer and closer, and I haven’t really had the time to get in the right mood, but I know I will, even if it’s just when being with family in the Christmas days.

Almost forgot – this morning I had a laugh. I’ve never seen this before, so I was surprised, which probably added to my amusement. A car dressed out as a reindeer.

In serious need of a pet. #christmas #imaraindeer
