When reading this Kotaku post, I was thinking WTF?!
If he can afford an xbox, headset, a monitor and a wifi modem, why can’t he afford his own internet connection?
Apparently, this guy took his xbox, wi fi modem, headset, and even his monitor, and sneaked the stuff into the library. He used about 20 minutes to set the system up, then played one of the porpular shooter games online (according to kotaku it was Halo, COD or Quake), using the librarys internet connection. He tried to hide it by sitting with the gamepad between his legs and have a news paper covering.
We don’t know the reason why he did this – maybe his internet connection were closed or down? Or maybe he just like to live on the edge. Anyhow, he got kicked out 2 minutes after he was set up… was it worth it? Don’t think so!!

Haha, that’s absolutely hilarious. xD
But hey, if you don’t have to pay for it, then why not?
That’s how I see it.
Thanks for the find.

Totally. But to save a handfuld bucks, and using time and effort to transport yourself and the xbox+other things to the library, just to hook it up online? Seriously…
I bet it was worth it. This story has got loads of attention and publicity,
so, I guess he got what he wanted!
There is no way he would seriously bother to lug all that there to actually play right?
Yah, I agree, but he isn’t mentioned by name, and he isn’t paid for it, so the only thing he got out of it was a good laugh of the media blowing it wide open I guess.
